Ms. Dennis has postgraduate studies in special education a Master of Arts degree in education, specializing in special education, from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Emmanuel College in Boston, Ma. She has extensive knowledge, expertise and experience working with young children, youth and adults. She taught elementary education, special education and has served as a University Professor. Beverly S. Khabo, M.A. in TESOL/Bilingual Education, M.S., CCC-SLP
Ms Khabo holds a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and Bilingual Education from Georgetown University in DC; a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) from Howard University. Ms. Khabo has extensive knowledge and expertise not only in communication disorders, but also in the normal development of communication through her background in linguistics. CEO

Ms. Dennis taught in the fields of special education and elementary education. She has extensive knowledge, expertise and experience working with adults and youth in residential facilities. She was instrumental in developing and providing oversight for the District of Columbia Early Intervention Program for infants and toddlers with special needs which was the lead for the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Part H (now Part C).
She is currently a member of the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities. She has served on numerous committees in the District of Columbia that focus on the needs of persons with disabilities and health issues, e.g. Developmental Disabilities State Planning Council, Mayor’s Health Policy Committee, serving as chair of the public relations subcommittee, the Special Education State Advisory Board, Medical Care Advisory Committee (oversight for DC Medicaid) and co-chair of Area Health Education Center (funded by HRSA). She has received awards for her work from the Medical Society of the District of Columbia, the Mayor’s Committee on Persons with Disabilities and a Letter of Commendation from former Mayor Kelly. She has served as an adjunct professor at Howard University, The George Washington University and the University of the District of Columbia.
She has presented numerous times at the Brain Trust of the CBC and HHS on topics related to persons with developmental issues.
Some of her clients have been United Planning Organization Head Start, Nation’s Capitol Child and Family Division Head Start, DC Department of Health, DC Department of Mental Health, DCPS Medicaid Finance Unit, US Department of Health and Human Services/Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Health Right, Inc, Chartered Health Plan, Advantage Health Plan, Thompson, Cobb, Brazilio & Associates, St. John’s Community Services Center, Washington Behavioral Health Care, Capital Behavioral Care Network, Practice Management Consulting, LLC, TFG of Jackson, MS, the National Coalition of Pastors’ Spouses and Mississippi Association of Community Action Agencies.
Her community activities have included serving as the President of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association as well as president of the DC Chapter of the Auxiliary to the National medical Association. In this role she secured funding from Connaught Pharmaceutical for an immunization project and secured a five (5) year cooperative agreement from the Office of Minority Health. She has presented to the Congressional Black Caucus on minority organ donation and was featured in Ebony Magazine.
